This year alone, the camp has welcomed over 700 participants, a testament to the growing demand and the program's ability to captivate the hearts and minds of the community's youth."We're reaching kids who I think can really benefit from our program and how we operate, and so that's one of things that makes me excited about our program and that excites a lot of the folks involved in our program," shared Kevin McCormick, the Executive Director of First Tee Siouxland.

The instructors, who have themselves been shaped by the program, are dedicated to passing on the values they have learned to the next generation."I learned a lot when I was in the program myself and I just want to teach the kids what my instructors taught me," said Avery Beller, an Instructor for First Tee Siouxland. "I love seeing the kids and how much they've grown and building that relationship with the kids," echoed Mackenzie Larson, another Instructor for the program.

Executive Director Kevin McCormick shared an insightful anecdote, "I can tell you that when I interview kids coming in this course this very course and says, 'Hey Johnny what'd you talk about today?' And he'd say we talked about perseverance, and I'd ask what's that? And he'll say, 'You just got to keep on trying.'"This focus on developing well-rounded individuals, who can navigate the challenges of life with determination and grit, is a testament to the program's holistic approach to youth development.

The program offers various scholarships to help cover the camp's expenses, and they even provide the necessary equipment for children to use during their time at the camp."We do have some situations where the kid who is really getting into the sport and we can tell it just by talking to their coach, and they might express some interest in getting some golf clubs that maybe as a parent they can't afford it or whatever else in those cases we will absolutely hook them up," said McCormick, highlighting the program's commitment to inclusivity and supporting the aspirations of every child.
